Central Bank
Responsive Website
Central Bank has been around since 1877 and is one of the oldest and largest community banks in Iowa with assets exceeding $650 million. Central Bank has over 200 employees and 14 locations in Iowa including Storm Lake, Cherokee, Sioux City, Spirit Lake, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Des Moines and Urbandale.
Central Bank reached out to MJ Kretsinger to redesign their website and make it responsive – enabling the site to scale fluidly across desktop and mobile devices. As part of the redesign process, MJ Kretsinger created a responsive website prototype of the new site so the client could navigate the site across devices and visualize how the site would function prior to investing in look & feel design and final development. We configured the navigation to feature Personal and Business banking tabs with sub categories and mega navigation menus…which was also carried through to the mobile menu.
MJ Kretsinger redesigned the new responsive website and leveraged the brand colors to deliver a fresh, contemporary site design. The homepage includes an image slider where users can customize their desktop image, plus mortgage and loan rate tab boxes for quick access to rate information. A Product Finder enables users to select a product category and type from the homepage and view bank products that are right for them. When a user chooses a bank location, the site remembers the location and displays it in the header when they return to the site. Online banking login is globally accessible from anywhere on the site. The site is built on a content management system which enables the client to easily create various banner ads to up-sell/cross-sell products wherever they wish.
MJ Kretsinger delivered the new responsive website prototype, layered Photoshop PSDs for desktop and mobile phone interfaces, and a Development Requirements Document that detailed out the responsive design and functional requirements for the website to Central Bank’s development team for implementation.
